Bigpike, may I suggest to listen to their last quarterly call - I know it's lengthy but it'S very instructive ! They already hedged ALL their own risk exposure "equity tranches" by buying proper derivatives when it still was cheap (early Q4/2006). Other than that .. THEY ARE THE COUNTERPARTY ... to the troubled segment and that may not be bad. In fact their business model thrives on WIDENING credit spreads.. As with the value chain position of "mining financiers" like EDV.TO, one group's problem might be the counterparties extra appeal.. CROSSY
