So if the Dems try to fix things,they become the party of 'tax raisers' and 'soak the rich' if and when they overturn some or all of the tax cuts.

As Bernanke keeps reminding us, it is simple arithmetic. If we have huge deficits, somebody will have to pay. If we do not repeal those tax cuts to the very wealthy, we will have to borrow the money and our children will have to repay the borrowed money plus compounded interest.

Balancing the budget is never easy. You have to watch your spending. Get out of debt. Cut out the big budget items. Get rid of the waste.

At the end of the day, you have to make some choices. You have to be fair. If it means that you are getting it from the elderly who may not be able to afford their medication or getting it from the very wealthy where they may not be getting their yacht - common sense should be used.
