Hard headed realism with a isolationist bent. You are probably worried about illegal immmigration too. Realism has to have context WR. What you preach was good for the colonial era perhaps. Realism today has to include some way to better conditions in parts of the world where terror is bred. You cant ignore tribal areas of pakistan because they wont ignore you and yours whether here in the US or American interests abroad. Your realism in this light quickly becomes wishful thinking, backward looking isolationism. It just isnt enough to worry about areas with "earl". The world has shrunk and it t'aint flat no more.
None of this justifies the lying and deceipt that comes from bush admin folks. They were in lala land dreaming about democracy in iraq and defining that democracy in our terms. No it wont work but islamic democracy might. So what if the babes where head scarves in iran if they can work, vote, etc. And if they dont wear scarves, and are persecuted lets bring the persian babes here. A little more blend to the new racial mix that defines American is just fine with me. Mike.mohammed@persianplayboy.com
