However, we are fighting people who do not occupy land. They are in hiding. Many live in caves. They have no communications or banks they openly control.

They have, it's just not advertised. This is like claiming the Mafia never existed because it didn't own a country. A LOT of Gulf money flows their way from ostensibly legitimate Saudi sources.

This is a new age, where the internet and dirty bombs can empower small groups to do great damage. Into what perspective shall I put the half a trillion of economic damage they did n 9/11? And that was with boxcutters! Supply another such group with a few dirty bombs, they can do 10 times as much.

They want to do it. They have means method and opportunity - if our intelligence forces fall down on the job again. What is so farfetched about this scenario?

Would you have said 9/11 was possible, the day before it happened?
