It didn't need to be validated by our silly occupation of Iraq. The Israeli/Palestinian conflicts already validated it, the Russian war in Afghanistan already validated it and the American war in Vietnam clearly validated it. Of course Bush/Cheney had to re-validate it to the n'th degree by bull rushing into Iraq where it was sure to be proven against the best troops with the best equipment in the world. The terrorist/insurgents/nationalists/radicals/Muslims already know this. The only people who think the idea hasn't been validated are people like yourself who think we can disprove the lesson that reality is drenching us in blood with. What's been validated is that suicide bombing can cause casualties, most of whom are civilians of no military significance, and spread terror. It can get great publicity in the world-wide media, nearly all of whom are happy to play along with the terrorists by giving them exposure and justifying their actions. It has not been validated that it can win wars. In case you didn't notice, Israel is standing and is widely judged to have won the last intifada. The Palestinian position is far weaker and more divided now than it was in 2000. The wall/security fence, which is likely to become the border, is rising, and they can do nothing to stop it, because their own actions created the need for it. The Iraqi war is still ongoing, with 95% of the action not being reported at all one way or the other. It is not lost, unless America runs. But you want this defeat so bad you can taste it. You think we have been drenched in blood? America took more casualties on single days in WWII than it has in this war. We would have surrendered to Germany and Japan in 1942 if our leaders had been anything like you.
