My situation isn't very complex. I own one piece of property (my home) and my money is in T-Bills or cash. Should be simple, I'd think. Was hoping in the $500 range, so you're probably right on. Shirley is seeing her attorney this morning and has been told to expect to pay about that amount.

The POA is a question for me. I have no relatives in town other than my mother. She's 90 and in no shape to have the POA. My son is 500 miles away and is nearest to me. OTOH, my brother, in FL, can be on the next plane to Denver if need be. My son lives in such a remote area there is no air service. Sweet Shirley has said "no", although I'd trust her with it. My daughter is even farther away and terrified to fly, so she's out. I really need to give this some thought.

Maybe I should have taken Gloop up on his offer to be adopted and move him in with me? Somehow, I think not. LOL
