One of the articles you mention says that the headquarters is not official but was started by an SL resident volunteer. If so, then Kirsten Powers is being a bit deceptive in saying Edwards opened it.
So maybe I gave him too much credit for being tech savvy.

The tape wasn't that bad- she obviously was looking for the seedy stuff around the headquarters, but she mentions all the other things available in SL also. And I got the feeling she was being a bit tongue in cheek with her report. I loved the Christian hairpiece and the little bear.

If her point is that his neighbors are a terrorist group and a place with nude pictures, then it's a silly point. Neighborhoods rise and fall every day, and you have no real choice about neighbors unless you pay a LOT of money for a zoned community or buy an island.

There ARE petitions you can sign about pedophilia; I know I have signed a couple (not that it does any good). But it sounds as if Edwards isn't really "there" anyway. I would rather see my candidates take on the real world. SL is no more, and no less, addictive and damaging than the internet and video games. It is people's own weaknesses that lead them astray, not the world around them.
