"I guess I don't look as deep into it as you may. It's simple to me, there's a portion of islam that is radical, it has stated it intends to take over the world, it's gaining momentum in other parts of the world, it's small here but pushing the envelope in terms of some violence and alot of PR jihad, if we like the way we live, we need to stop it. Yes, and I wrote some long exposes on that for the foreign affairs thread several years ago. There are growing threats from each fundamental sect of Islam. Al-Qaiada is well known. When I wrote about the Moktada Al-Sadr Al-Mahdi beliefs and movement on the foreign affairs thread a few years ago they mocked me for days, now it is common knowledge. Becoming informed and active in our fight against radical Islam is essential and incumbant upon us all. What this thread is doing is counter productive to that. What this thread is trying to do is in fact food for those extreme movements. When I tell them that they act like I'm trying to spoil their fun or something. Oh Well. "Your child #2 would best be served by peaceful muslims educating the rest of us about their intent and their opinions of the radicals and their desire to assimilate and contribute to our wonderful country, warts and all, so the negative preachings you complain about may be tempered." In a perfect world that might be true. But then in a perfect world he would be getting enough healing love and warmth in his community to grow up healthy regardless of the family he came from. I don't hold his parents guiltless but I recognize they come ill equiped to a hostile environment as well. All of us need to do our part.
