I think that passage continues to show the differentiation between the two groups and how similar terminology is used to express different things.

Weird terminology happens in religions.

Jews are considered to be "Kin Blood"

It's arbitrary. They don't believe it's kin blood in any genetic sense.

Latter-day Saints believe themselves to be either direct descendants of the Israelites, or adopted into the House of Israel.

You get baptized in the LDS faith and "poof" you're adopted into the House of Israel. It's magic.

I've heard one Messianic Jew claim that Christians are "cloven" into the tree of Abraham.... whatever the heck cloven means. I still can't figure out whether a Messianic Jew is a Jew or a Christian. One American Jewish group considers Messianic Jews as "former Jews". Messianic Jews express that they are Jews that believe Jesus is the Messiah and it's just an evolution of Judaism. Someone else might say that since they believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, that makes them Christians.

I think you're getting hung up over a few similar words.
