<< "Where I disagree is that it has much to do with Edwards. Also I wonder if he even knew that someone set up the headquarters." >>

This is where I disagree. As I already pointed out, Reuters & Fox News have already reported on it. I didn't even have to do any searching to find that out. It was directly linked to in the blog entry I posted, so it very well may have been reported on elsewhere in the MSM. And from the links in the blog entry I posted, it's obvious this issue has gained a lot of traction in the blogosphere.

That alone tells me it's almost impossible that no one from the Edwards Campaign knows about this. I'd be willing to bet that more than one journalist from the MSM has contacted Edwards HQ for comment. I'm also fairly sure that a number of Edwards supporters have contacted the Edwards Campaign about it as well.

And the reason it's a troubling issue to me is because it's not just about the porn being widely available on SL, but things that would be illegal in the real world (child porn, sex with children, rape, prostitution, ET AL.).

IMO, all Edwards really needs to do is to publicly distance himself from it. If done properly, I don't think he'd even need to remove the Edwards HQ from the site. But to remain silent about it is a big mistake.
