Heck, my last rental car was a Toyota Solara. Rather sizable car for something Hertz classified as "compact." I was surprised when Tim posted the specs for the Prius that showed it was compact size. It doesn't look compact to me. By those standards, our BMWers are compacts. Before the advent of the SUV, I think BMWers and Prius would have been considered mid size cars.
