I agree with you on the fact that political islam is dangerous for many reasons, but the great majority of the despicable barbaric acts we see on a daily basis occur elsewhere and that is my point- learn from it, be aware, but don't assume your cab driver is going to run you over (yes, I saw that story). Because we've developed into such a PC nation, most of the education about islam is repressed for the wrong reasons. All of my friends and relatives don't have any idea what I'm talking about. How many people that you know understand or have even heard the term "sharia"? It seems that anyone other than a hard right conservative is a jihad-enabler, or is it just me? I don't consider myself a hard right conservative, by the way. That said, if education is first, which would then lead to action (hopefully), how do we go about it? Post articles about Indonesia? Yes, it is a lesson and of course those things are appalling, but average Joe at his computer or reading his newspaper is likely to turn the page. We are in a mess. If you know what to look for, you can see signs of non-violent jihad here every day. Educating the public about that, and getting peaceful muslims behind it is the key to our survival, I believe, because we've already experienced 9/11. In my opinion, if the public is educated and the peaceful muslims are supporting us, a "voteable" politician or political idea will emerge that will save us. I regularly visit alot of the anti-jihad websites and see all of the stories you post, but I feel most enriched when I see articles about solutions or about progress for the anti-jihad agenda. I don't know if you've posted this here, but it came out last year, and it also contains a WWII analogy- The fantastic article "No Substitute for Victory" suggests a solution, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem likely in the current political climate. The article will require an investment of time, but I feel all readers of this thread will benefit, as would the free world.
