I would appreciate your comments on how events, such as referenced below, might be approached and corrected -- certainly a non-muslim mediator is not the answer. It would appear that friendly individuals of hostile Muslim sects cannot even talk to one another without heinous repercussions?

Would a more active intervention by moderate Muslims facilitate inter-islamic-sect communications? It's the only answer I see.

I hope we all can agree that such behaviors are unacceptable. And, can we agree that such behavior (outside of politics) within the various sects of Judaism, Christianity, and non-islamic religions, is unheard of – at least I have never heard of any such behavior -- not even from the Irish? Why is that?

The very real question arises, if Muslims have so little regard for fellow Muslims, why should anyone else? And how does all this reflect upon the legitimacy of Islam as a common, mutually respectful, religious bond?

Please don't consider this a hostile comment, rather something that requires clarification.
