"Motel" connotes that the Jews did not have a place in civil society, even though they owned businesses and homes and had done so for many centuries, simply because they were Jews. Thus, "motel" is your word but not mine. Very very creepy, too. If I argued that American Muslims don't belong in America, they are merely temporary sojourners, would you agree?

That is quite different than hosting a large population of people who don't contribute to the running of our government. Which is what happened in the 900 year old system The Jews paid more than their share towards the government, since they paid the jizra on top of other taxes. Should we think it a benefit to them that they were excluded from taking part in government? By this logic the Negroes of the Jim Crow south were fortunate to contribute to the white-run system. It was so nice of the white people to "host" them.
