Somehow I doubt very much that AMD shares this kind of top secret information with external companies.

top secret ? what would anyone do with this top secret information? maybe tune their compilers so that it would generate slower code for amd processors? nonsense (hey, wait a minute; doesn't intel build compilers? ...)

joking aside this "top secret information" is usually given out freely exactly so that people can tune their compilers, libraries etc. amd even has given out cycle accurate iss for opteron when they did the x64.
