Hugh Hewitt is a strong supporter of Mr. Bush and a very respected mainstream conservative. He "gets it" that the republicans can't claim to be tolerant and win elections in this country if they openly annoint Annie as being a spokesman for their party. she just turns off too many people, including conservatives. I think Hewitt's comments are meaningful. We'll see. She is the Michael Moore of the right. Neither helps their cause by being too closely embraced.....
