Laz...I love him more thAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD. I used (of all things) football to teach him math. He loved football so I exploited it to try and teach him. I'd like to write a short book for parents about how they can use things that kids love to teach them math. Math is so much more than numbers - its a thought process that expand the mind. I believe it to be the most important subject for kids to learn early in their life.

My boy is entering guitar lessons because its a great way to teach math. Chord progressions can be very deep mathematical computations IF he can link the two. Tom Scholz from Boston was a MIT grad and is one of the best progression guitar players in the world.

SO I took my boy out to look at guitars. He wants a Les Paul LOL or an Eddie Van Halen original make. Those are only about 5 grand! I'd like a Les Paul too lol. I'd go outside on my deck and introduce my neighbors to Eddie Van Halen's eruption!

Actually I'd rather have a red Strat with an Black neck and black whammy bar. It was always fun to play at the bars in college. People expected to see and hear a hack until I broke into some Jimmy Page or Randy Rhoads. That was a dream I wish I had pursued. I've done some dupes in my buddies recording studio and I haven't done half bad. We had to do some technical voice stretching but overall my range was very good.

NO - I wont share them with you! LOL. I didn't have a metal voice so I just played guitar on hard core songs. On Fire and Crazy Train were my favorite because they were very loud and very challenging. Some parts had to be cut because there was too much layering (too many combined tracks on one song) but it was a blast. Now its time for Junior to master the acoustic - then we'll talk about a les Paul or strat.
