You do. You just refuse to recognize it. You know why your town has cops? Because part of its population REFUSES to obey commonly agreed on law. Were that NOT the case, there would be no need for police. You think nations DON'T live by the law of the jungle? Did the UN approve the Soviet invasion of East Germany in 1953? Did the UN approve the Soviet invasion of Hungary in 1956? Did the UN approve the Soviet invasion of East Czechoslovakia in 1968? Did the UN approve the Argentinian invasion of the Falkland Islands in 1982? Did the UN approve Iraq's invasion of Iran in 1980? Did the UN approve of Iraq's invasion of Kuwait in 1990? Did the UN approve of Grenada in 1983? Well? And that's only a sampling of the un-UN sanctioned violence by nations since the UN was founded. Sure could get the impression they mostly pay no attention to it.
