OT: Goodness, I wonder what it was that fellow said. It sounds like it had something to do with Vancouver and something to do with Prince Edward Island. What I know is that at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoons, downtown Vancouver is full of drunks and dopeheads (all male, if not all men), whereas on normal working days, PEI is full of farmers and fishermen. It's a marvel that Canada is a country at all. But with no waste of money on "defense" and with enormous income from natural resources, its per capita wealth will lead the world unless the ingenuity of its politicians screws everything up. I admit to a special prejudice against the current Prime Minister, Stephen Harper. I am well-acquainted with someone who knows him from decades ago, who describes him as contemptible and dishonest, and his actions since he gained power a year ago fully bear this out.
