Analytically solving post place and route timing? What kind of nonsense it is?

obviously the kind of sense which you don't have.

Regarding the use of back-annotated simulations, it is frequently the fastest way to determine the actual name of flip-flops that might be subject of exclusion from setup and hold violations in blocks of clock domain crossing.

this is exactly what i was afraid you'd say. you leave figuring cross-domain timing issues, finding their names, solving the related timing problems etc. to ppr? you think your test vectors give you full coverage to find these? if i were your boss, you would never get close to another text editor into which you might type rtl.
