"this is exactly what i was afraid you'd say. you leave figuring cross-domain timing issues, finding their names, solving the related timing problems etc. to ppr? you think your test vectors give you full coverage to find these? if i were your boss, you would never get close to another text editor into which you might type rtl."

Whatever. You are not my boss, and will never be. I would not hire you either, with your attitude of diverging from the main topic with nitpicking and forgetting to acknowledge your defeated arguments. The topic is not about my practical skills in making FPGA to work.

Once again, respond to this:

"I still believe that I presented a solid case that SPECxx-rate metrics is not the best metrics to evaluate performance of individual workstation, multicore or not. All your/Pete/fpg counter-arguments have been proven to be false or erroneous or irrelevant."

If you don't remember why this is important, I assert that practical performance lead of Intel processors is too substantial, so the advertized performance enhancements in Barselona are unlikely to leapfrog current perfomance of Core2 platforms.
