If you like Pioneers and to see the things they used in their daily life, you will love Lynden Museum. They also have an actual Indian flat canoe....hard to imagine anyone going up and down a rapidly moving river on these things...there is only maybe 8-10 inches to sit in...Can you imagine the women's dresses (no long pants then) hanging over the side of these things....

Plus the Museum is really big (about 1/2 block and 3 stories tall) for a small 10-12,000 or so town. Looks like their own website is down, but here are two more, one of Lynden, and the other with other museums in that area...

lynden.org

bellinghamherald.com

I've been there several times, and always so busy doing other things, haven't yet had time to explore all the stores...

Someone here in this house is rather happy about that....<ggg>
