Yeah, but labors is only one facet. It's partially offset by transportation costs. It's hard to beat the current health care costs, only born by Detroit, and the legacy costs.

Are we ready to say that US companies like Ford and GM are less capable of value added innovation than Japanese, Korean or Chinese companies? Or are we just willing to accept an unlevel playing field, where the overseas companies win by default, despite transportation costs?
