Brian-
"Until "moderate" islam is willing to face the fact that they have serious problems, nothing will change for the better. And I have absolutely no sympathy for whatever happens to people who allow these sorts of things to happen." Unfortunately for peaceful muslims, if they don't choose sides and make themselves heard, the next "event" on our shores will cause such a backlash against all of them, they will wish they did.

Brian- also re #5755
"And where are the moderate voices speaking out? I hear nobody!"

On moderates speaking out-
Jamal Miftah, a muslim in Tulsa spoke out, see atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com

He gets ostracized.

Encouraging though, is the work of Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser and his American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD) see aifdemocracy.org

Apologies if this stuff has been posted before.
