I think "Big Al" (and I use that term respectfully, having put on a few pounds myself in recent years) is still a scary image for many republicans. Some parts of American would like to return to what they think the Clinton years represented, but don't want Hillary to represent that desire. Big Al can run against the Bush record more effectively than anybody and, really, how many votes would he have lost from those who voted for him in 2000? He could keep his environmental concerns and appear more moderate on some other issues and hold the middle (vbg) of the electorate.

But he has to lay off the cheeseburgers.

And, yeah, he is a hyprocrite, but so are all politicians. I don't think any of the "big house in Tennessee" and "oil partners ownership" hurts him with the base or with a lot of people in the middle. And he was out there on Iraq early and hard......

Yeah, Big Al could be a nightmare for the republicans. Just look how much attention he gets on the threads, and he isnt' running for anything yet.

Obama gets your vote. doubt Gore is going to give up the money and fame he is enjoying right now and put his family through another emotional run for office. He can sit back and say he won the race against Bush , why take the chance of getting defeated next time around.

He got his hollywood crowd, green folks ,, director on several corp boards.. He is enjoying life~
