Ted, like I said, charitable contributions are fine. If the money that Gore spends to "offset his carbon footprint" is considered in that light, then I am totally fine with it.

I don't think they are charitable contributions per se but they are similar.

However, the economy of "carbon credits" has no foundation. Unless you enforce the worth of "carbon credits," any shmuck can print and sell them without doing any real "carbon sink" work.

I think Gore is smart enough to discern between scam artists and the real thing.
