The Bush economy has been as strong as the Clinton economy.

The Clinton economy had a budget surplus. The Bush economy has a huge budget deficit.

This is not very complex. It is simple mathematics. It involves addition, subtraction, and whole numbers.

You have income and expenditures. They should match. It is okay if you have more income than expenses, but if you have more expenses than income you will have to borrow to make up the difference.

We have borrowed like crazy to make up the difference in our spending much more than the income that we generate.

The Bush economy is equivalent to a person living a prosperous life style based entirely on borrowed money.

I don't think we will lose respect in from Iraq, unless we cut and run

That speaks volumes. We are far apart on this issue. "Cut and run" has no meaning in this case. Why are we, the most powerful nation in the world, militarily, spending hundreds of billions of dollars mired in Iraq while for the most part Iraqis are killing Iraqis. Why does getting out of this situation be considered cut and run. We have by far the strongest military in the world. We can win any war. We have defeated Saddam Hussein. We have won the war. At the moment, nobody wants us in Iraq. The Iraqis don't want us there. None of our allies want us there. None of our enemies want us there. 70% of Americans don't want us there.

what an army looses from being used, it gains in experience and learning.

This is a terrible way to train our army by getting a lot of them killed and seriously injured. In this day and age you can learn to fly an airplane without actually having to fly an airplane. You can make nuclear weapons and test them as the Israeilis have without actually exploding them. You can train your troops without exhausting them by engaging them in real combat.

Perseverance is important in geopolitical affairs.

When you have dug yourself into a hole, persistence in digging is stupid.
