I posted the article from spring 2001 announcing the news that Iran had elected moderate pro-western new leaders. You can try to deny reality all you like, but also after 9-11 the government allowed pro-western anti-terrorism marches in Tehran. And Iran helped us to some degree in Afghanistan, closing its borders to Taliban types who were fleeing. I'm not saying Iran is perfect, nor it is monolithic. There are a lot of diverse voices and interests within Iran. To peg them as one thing, extremsit anti-American is ignorant. In fact right now the anti-American presdient is losing support within Iran, partly due to the worsening economy and prospect of economic sanctions.

Bushie Privatization May be Ruining US Military

Her's an example, a Halliburton type geting the contract to run Walter Reed Hospital, into the ground. My friends who served in Iraq told me Halliburton is no friend of the US military.

Basically this is about making the US military a for-profit enterprise, like Medicare paying full prices for prescription drugs. And it also means the GOP rightwing is only allowing partisans on their side to get contracts, regardless of qualifications. FEMA after Katrina was more glaering evidence that privatization deeply dfamaged our government's ability to work efficiently, and is highway robbery by corporate special interests.
