>>Digging up old refuse sites is popular in the UK and they show up all sorts of things.<<

Once during a basic college archeology course helped dig up a 600-year-old garbage pit in Illinois. All we found was some fragments of charcoal useful for carbon dating.

>>I don't know which is worse, the people climbing on the global warming bandwagon, or the people who say it doesn't exist. Two bandwagons of people who have personal agendas and just do not care about the facts.<<

Yes, lots of emotional ranting going back and forth.

>>Human occupation today does change the way the planet works.<<

Kind of amazing the way people assume we can change the Earth's atmosphere without affecting anything.

This is "apples and oranges," PB. I have no argument with the fact that the earth gets warmer and colder. Been going on forever. It got less than one degree warmer last century. Again, no argument. My argument is with the Global warming crowds following asssumptions:

1) The warming last century was caused by mankind.

2) We can stop this warming trend by implementing the Kyota treaty.

3) All sorts of disasters are going to happen almost immediately if we don't.
