How close is Ft. Bragg to me? Walking distance if you are tough. About 16 miles cross country. Back around the turn of the 20th century, one of the great greats of my neighbor worked at the Union Lumber Co. mill in FB. Later became GP or LP, and closed a few years ago. Not enuf trees. But I digress. This guy would walk over to the mill Monday morning. He would walk home Fri evening...with 2 boards on his shoulder to build a house. That close. But you can't carry electricity on your shoulder.
