I don't think its that simple, Ken. There are Global issues that man has to resolve before we can move on and work for the greater good. The initial stages of this evolution are going to be bloody regardless of who is in power. I'm not going to lie and say I'm thrilled with the current admin. I voted for them twice because there were no good alternatives. The second time it took all my strength to vote for them again. Now I look at what the next election has to offer and can only shake my head. We have no good candidates on either side. We can all talk about the good things each of them have done here or there but these aren't candidates in the mold of the kind of GREAT leadership we need to get through this period. I suspect you'll argue with everything I just said but I know I'm right and I know the majority of people would agree with me

If Gore had been elected would he have overthrown Saddam like he promised during his campaign? He also made a speech early in 2002, expressing the same sentiment:

"In 1991 as a member of the United States Senate, I crossed party lines and supported the use of force against Saddam Hussein, but he was allowed to survive his defeat as the result of a calculation we all had reason to deeply regret for the ensuing decade. And we still do. So this time, if we resort to force, we must absolutely get it right. It must be an action set up carefully and on the basis of the most realistic concepts. Failure cannot be an option, which means that we must be prepared to go the limit. "
