one of the reasons given in the media which supposedly kicked off this decline Tuesday was Alan Greenspan comments of the possibility that the current US expansion might come to an end this year...and "and since dry bulk is usually goods that are precursors to production (like cement, coal, and iron ore), the index is also seen as a good economic indicator of future economic growth and production." which runs counter to what we are hearing in the media...the BDi is melting up while we are experiencing a crash like decline...an obvious disconnect with current global economic activity imho,
