Thank God we attacked Germany first. They went out of their way to avoid sinking US ships because they didn't want us to join the battle. Pearl Harbor was a Japanese thing

WWII wasn't at all like Iraq - not a bit. But I use it as an example of a time when it made sense to attack first - that was the correct thing to do and it was costly. What did we lose at Normandy....for some reason I want to say 25-40,000 troops were lost in a day. The cost was huge. You probably have the answer to my uncertainty in numbers. I'm not very smart - call me Jethro LOL
