I am a believer that, overall, your principles are more important than the minutiae of your policies. Republicans are a case in point. There may be missteps along the way, but we will move steadily in the right direction. Obama has the vision. He is able to articulate and express the best of American values. He is able to elevate the liberal/progressive ideas and values that I have and show that they embody the highest and truest expression of what is best about America. For those who think Obama is all oratory, I say that Obama says the right things because he believes the right things.
