so, the US should have been vaporized many years ago ? This French friend of mine was trying to sing some Eagles tunes on the karaoke machine at my house last night. HE should have been vaporized many years ago and saved the rest of us a lot of agony.

Give the idea a chance Kumar! It's MAD brought up to date for the new world order, where many smaller powers have smaller nuke arsenals. We need to strike a deal with Putin that we'll both test our nuke arsenals on any country that uses nukes prior to being attacked by nukes. That would pit about 20k nukes against much smaller, more primitive arsenals.

I think that's what MAD was all about. Right? I think the US used them wrongly. I think it was a crime against humanity to use them at all in a conventional war. Just my opinion of course, and opinions will differ.
