I don't have a problem with bringing corruption out, whether it is historical or current Ichy, as long as it is in context and is not being used as a vehicle to persecute the innocent. What is obvious to me however is that many of the members of this thread claim that never happens, which is far from true. Muslims are well aware that all human beings are tempted to corruption and that most succumb to one form or another, and that there is a long history of that...most don't want to be used as a scapegoat for all the world's ill, understandably.

I am sure we can also find plenty of denial in Islam where or when they are under attack from their enemies who are not being genuine in the first place. That is a richer problem, wherein neither has a leg to stand on.
