With stubborn bastards like Bush and Nixon, these quagmire wars are very hard to stop by congress. It takes a long time and you have to be very careful not to yank funding from troops already in the field. The real crime goes back to Bush's sleazy dishonest 2004 campaign where he denied this country an honest leader, Kerry, who would have us ending this war by now. Remember, Dems have only controlled congress for a few months too.
