Do you count any overseas deployment in an area of conflict or with the strong potential for conflict to be war? Yes.....and that's because most deployments result in fighting. But even if we had been actively at war for every minute of the past twenty five years it would be ridiculous to say that our whole culture is exclusively devoted to defense and war. Okay, I'll give you that its not exclusively. We do have other interests. Nonetheless, we spend way too much time focused on war or the threat of war.
