You said it perfectly, Chris. Bush could very well represent the dangerous fallacy of the evangelical mind set that God's hand is in everything we do......no free agency. The notion of no free agency and no serendipity is scripturally inaccurate. I've never been able to fully untangle how this kind of Christian mind set came into being. I hope to someday have it revealed the extent to which Bush's particular brand of Christian thought entered into his decision making. Oddly enough I'd have more confidence in a Mormon Romney in office than a southern evangelical.
