Maher did not say it was a 'good thing'. He stated his opinion that fewer people would be dead, an opinion that reflects his belief that this administration's policies are killing people.

Coulter made a unwarranted personal attack in a completely inappropriate forum. Even conservatives are pissed off that she showboated and completely submarined the messages they were trying to get out.

Cheney's death or impeachment would save a lot of US lives and treasure, but if only it had happened 5 years ago. When I first heard the news break about Cheney's blood clot, yes I was hoping he'd be incapacitated and would have to resign. And I would not mourn his death for one second. He is a traitor and a truly evil man.

Cheney is ground zero in the conspiracy to defraud the American Public into sending our brave military into a useless quagmire. He is a traitor and a major criminal. As such, he more than anyone but Bush himself is responsible for some 4000 US deaths. I believe cheney was also part of the conspiracy to gas gouge us to the tune of more than a half trillion dollars, and he was certsainly part of the huge Halliburton ripoffs which extend to Katrina and Walter Reed. He also ordered a key CIA agent outed during war-time. That in itself is treason.

And don't tell me we're better off without Saddam. In fact we don't know that we are now. Is El Sadr (the hair apparent) preferable with a stronger emboldened Iran and Al Qaida? Probably worse. In fact even some conservatives have suggested that what we really need now is a new Saddam with whom we can deal with. But too late for that.
