Bush has plainly lost the war on terror. 6+ years after 9-11 Al Qaida is emboldened, Bin Laden and Zawahiri alive and well, and the bait and switch war in Iraq has been a total failure which has played with into every terrorist in the worlds' hands, especially Al Qaida and the extremists in Iran.

and look at the cost to our country for this failure. Enormous.

Bush has definitely lost the war on terror. The war Bush is fighting now has very little to do with terrorism. It's a police action in the middle of a bloody messy civil war. Some terrorists have been lured and invited in (Bush's line "bring it on!" excited them and lured them from all over) but Iraq basically had nothing to do with the War On Terror. The real War On Terror was centered in Afghanistan where we had Al Qaida on the ropes, then let them go and regroup. Now Al Qaida is very dangerous again, and the US is much weaker.
