A perfect set up can be flubbed by this group. Their biggest asset AND liability is people like tejek who are so brainwashed and hate-filled that they will support and root on the party NO MATTER WHAT. Cognitive dissonance is not in their vocabulary...<g> The reality is that the Dems are not accustomed to being in control. It's much easier to be in the minority and snipe all the time.

And how much do you want to be that if the most optimistic possible scenarios happen in Iraq and things are much better before the election than they are now, that Hillary again emphasizes the fact that she voted for the operation, and implies that pressure from her and those like her to change course in Iraq resulted in changes that helped things turn out better. In other words if it succeeds she "deserves" the credit, but if it fails its someone else's fault.
