Interesting there is another company desiging WiMAX chips with the name "wave" in addition to Nextwave with the symbol "WAVE".

Just adds more the the confusion.


Sorry, I probably should have explained..."Wave 2" refers to a type of WiMAX (not a company). It supports MIMO, QOS and some other improvements I cant remember right now. Sprint is going to deploy Wave 2.

I believe that the initial WiBRO deployments are "Wave 1"....
