The campaign theme should be simple: administrations are not elected to lie to the electorate or their judicial agents. Period. Even before we get to the campaign, we should get to the bottom as to why Scooter Libby lied. Libby is a very intelligent person. He didn't lie for no reason. We should have enough evidence from the trial for Congress to hold hearings and find out more about the activities of Rove and Cheney and their possible role in manipulating intel data to get us into this mess in Iraq.
