What's wrong with that? It just opens up the box for more objections from people like you. We don't need to do it, we won't do it, and we will keep them indefinitely because they are religious fanatics, whose compatriots that we have let go, went right back to fighting us. You have to face the fact that we are in a long war that will still be going on when we are dead. Muslim fanatics have been attacking Western Civilization for 1400 years. They were stopped at the Gates during the siege of Vienna in 1683 when Islam was poised to overrun Christian Europe. We fought them during the Barbary Wars at the start of the 19th Century. We fought them in the Philippines at the start of the 20th century and we are still fighting them there today. We are now in a world-wide fight with them that will seem never-ending. We didn't start it. It's not "our fault." They attack us not because we are bad, but because we are good, and they can't stand it. Their religion tells them they are supposed to rule the world. Instead, they find themselves relegated to squatting on dunghills, shaking their fists at our civilization as it passes them by. So they attack us any way they can. They don't want to negotiate with us. They want to kill us.
