I think there's a lot to be said for bigamy. Women are social creatures. It would be a nice choice to have. Of course I think Polyandry ought to be a choice on the menu too- I just don't think it's as workable, given the biological predispositions of men and women. But let people give it a try- that's what I say.

Exactly! And so would most women, if the social stigma was not attached. And this would raise the quality of married life for women as a whole because some would leave their abusive husband for a tried and true stock down the block. Polygamy increases the supply of available men; women would no longer have to face the problem of "all the good ones are taken".

Multiple wives are actually not as common as people think in muslim societies.. Varies from country to country and social standing..
