The Jews were not any better, when they had the upper hand. But I don't think the problem is a matter of religious belief; it is all bout Group-Think that strips us all of our humanity. When group-think is married to religion, it takes on an even greater air of infallibility and hubris. And so in the name of God (or Greater Good), the most horrible acts come to pass with passion.

All religions are capable of mass murders. Yes, this is objectively true. Christianity needed reformation, and it did reform.

I have yet to see an observant Muslim admit publicly to anyone, and I don't mean just to me, that Muslims are capable of mass murder, or that Islam needs to be reformed, or even that the way Islam is presently practiced has any flaw whatsoever.

And therein lies the nub of the matter.
