I thought I'd give you a report on my Supreme Commander experience. For the most part, it's fine. I LOVE this game!
A little more tuning up against the AI's and I'll hook it up to the internet and start kicking some humans around.

I played several sizes of the maps. One map, the largest in the game, is 81km x 81km and is on a bunch of islands. There can be eight commanders, with two on a single island. So, it's kind of a dual problem map.

First, you are thrown against a rival commander on your small island. Then, you have to defeat the other surviving commanders.

The first time I played this map with 1gig ram, the game crashed. this is the only map it crashed on. So, I tried it with 4 commanders. It went longer, but still crashed.

So, I got another gig of ram. It went DEEP into an eight commander game, but still crashed. I can't add anymore ram!

Next, I'm going to try it with 4 commanders and 2 gigs of ram.
