It was cryptic, I guess Cashin is pointing out that what is occurring in the financial markets is so obvious to the real Credit Market professionals that it can best be discussed by cryptic analogies. It's like the old story of you can not convince many people of things unless you create the environment where they believe they though of it themselves, and then they can take ownership of the idea and act on it. I really don't know, and I am definitely not that versed in Phaedrus. I have some gaps in my Socratic knowledge bank!!!!
