to make things easier to discuss - why dont we stick to a more recent timeframe ? I'll offer 1 example - 1947 - India Pakistan partition - there were train loads of dead bodies , many mutilated , crossing the border from bot sides. the Hindus and Sikhs killed muslims and sent the bodies to Pakistan. the Muslims in Pakistan killed hindus and sikhs and sent the bodies to India.

When Christians conquered other "Christian" areas, they'd sometimes spare the Christians and kill the Jews. How is that different? And I think even during the "reconquista" (sp?)- Muslims and Jews were treated differently. They were both, of course, often killed, or encouraged to convert by the sword, but I think the Muslims were given greater respect than the Jews.

The point, I assume, is that some conquerors spare one religion's captives and and kill the adherents to other religions, or treat various religions differently. Adherents of other religions do that. It would be difficult to find some behavior that only Muslims do, no matter how diligently you try. Humans like to be cruel to each other. Many seem to crave it, as meat loves salt. I doubt you will find much cruelty, or strange prejudiced behavior, that is unique to one type of people.
